Entretanto, a Alison Hine (mais conhecida por Eagle Woman nos tempos do GPL) postou um setup bastante alterado, com o intuito de melhorar a tracção do Lotus em recta:

Quote:I found the baseline setup to be truly evil. And pretty quickly figured out that this is because it, like many of the setups from GPL days, has the car too low and/or too soft, and tire pressures too high.
With the baseline, the car is constantly going on and off the bump stops, especially at the rear. This means you are going from a relatively soft spring rate to an extremely high one and then back again at a very high rate. This is why the car with the baseline setup is so horribly twitchy over bumps, curbs, and any surface irregularities, and why it over-responds to steering and throttle inputs.
I've raised the ride height, especially at the rear, stiffened the rear springs, softened the dampers all around, softened the diff on both power and coast, stiffened the front ARB and softened the rear. I've also gone lower on the tire pressures, which lets the tires do more of the springing, and helps keep the suspension off the bump stops.
Incidentally, this is the first car in iRacing which has responded exactly as I expected to setup changes. I'd pretty much given up on developing setups for the other cars because the responses to my setup changes were usually so mystifying, but I suspect this one is going to be fun!
Anyway, with this setup I find the 49 to be a lot more drivable at Mosport, and a lot more fun. I plan to keep working on it and see what I can do.
Alison
PS. I haven't tried anyone else's setup yet, so please forgive me if there are better setups here already. This one isn't trying to be the fastest, just something more drivable.
