Alonso thinks Brawn GP has benefited from having switched its efforts to 2009 earlier than the rest.

"It's not normal that they are so quick in their first tests," he added. "The truth is that they have a car that Honda began working on in 2007 to use in 2009. And that's evident in its design, because it's a very elaborate car, with different shapes than the rest."

Sobre a Brawn:

Ferrari-technician: "They are one second faster than us. It can't be real."

Flavio: "When I arrived here I was still optimistic as far as our chances are concerned. Now I am not optimistic any more."

Sam Michael: "If they can repeat these laptimes in Melbourne which were set by Button on Wednesday morning during his long stint, Button and Barrichello will win the Australian Grand Prix by one lap advantage."

Norbert Haug: "The team have had more time for developing the 2009's car than the others. It seems to pay off."

Alguns destaques:

Quote:We are definitely not where we want to be. We will continue our test programme next week at Jerez for another four days. But it will take time to improve.

Obviously, there is a lack of downforce and we are currently working hard to solve this problem. Basically, the car feels good - that is what our drivers say. However, we are currently definitely not fast enough, not competitive enough to aim for victories.

We are working hard to improve. However, it might take us a few races to significantly improve

Quote:We are working around the clock to present us to improve. But it may be the first third of the season pass before significant gains are possible.

Quote:Massa echoes Alonso's Brawn worries

Felipe Massa is the latest is a long list of people to feel that the recent pace demonstrated by the new Brawn GP team is genuine; the ex-Honda squad stunned onlookers in Barcelona this week by setting the fastest times on the last two days, with Button and Barrichello racking up 443 laps and over 2,000 kilometres between them.

The Ferrari driver was in doubt when asked if he would be able to match his compatriot's best time from Thursday of 1.18.926: "I don't think anybody could. Many people were running on low fuel as well, not just them. I think their lap time is just much quicker than what anybody else can do."

The Brazilian's feelings shadow those of Renault's Fernando Alonso, as most of the grid appears to share the feeling that the Brackley-based team, despite their enormous lack of running over the winter, is ahead of many of their rivals. "I believe they did those laps in Barcelona with ballast onboard," Massa continued. "There's no point coming here to be quick to then go to the first race and being slow; I would say that, even if they do have no ballast on the car in testing but put it on for Australia, they would be quick anyway. They are really surprising. What I can say for us (Ferrari) is that, if you took Brawn away, we are very competitive.

Já está tudo a ficar com medoSmile

Mas se a Brawn for a unica equipa que pode fazer frente à Ferrari, eles têm todo o meu apoioTongue Passo a ser Brawn desde criança.Big Grin
