ArrayI also prefer '79. Duarte told advantages and disadvantadges. One of them was that '88 is more eye-candy, but maybe that could be another advantage for '79: More FPS, more fluid gameplay for lower spec machines, cleaner race.
Also, I got another one, and for me it's the most important: we're running the '79 Championship, not the '88. It's ok that we add Estoril, after all, you're all Portuguese and love your country (me too, have I told you I've got Portuguese ascendancy?), but except that, this is a '79 Championship.
The chicane may be a great concern but may be not. If we don't intentionally cut it there will be no problem. If we do, it may happen what happened to me not so long ago: someone rammed me because he was terribly faster than me as I did the turn well.
So, if we don't do it intentionally, the only concern is apply penalties for people who make, let's say, more than 4 cuts, at X seconds each (admin should calculate it). It's easy to apply them. You take the replay, place a stationary camera and pass the race at fast forward. You note the names of the people that cuts. Count the times, apply time penalties. If you see any exaggerated cut or too many, you apply harder penalties or different than time penalties. It shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to check.[/quote]
