HOW TO STaRT


What I need to start the RBR-Online experience?
An official copy of RBR and the 1.02 patch
A valid registration on RBR-Online website
Download of every add-on and the last release of utility correctly installed.
How can I login?
A correct registration is mandatory to play RBR-Online. Without a valid login the data flow between you and the server will
not work properly, Online rallies classification and ranking cannot be scored.
You MUST use your real name and surname and set the correct national flag. You must provide all other data required.
Valid characters allowed are:
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
it’s strictly forbidden to use special characters!
That’s very important!! You must not Ã Ä Ñ… or something
User with name like:
KÃNKÃ Ulrich (no!)
Must login as:
KANKA Ulrich (YES)
This login username (format and content) must be write in the same way also in the utility for online rallies. (step 1)

During the registration I’m asked to choose the car for the online events. Is this choice
definitive?
Car selection is needed during the registration. You can change cars however every time you will via the profile
maintenance menu.



Please take note that
non official online events (FREE rally) admit driver with every car they like
official events (i.e. WIRC championship scheduled rally) allow driver to join ONLY with selected car (see WIRC rules art.9)
The registration is not completed before you reach an activation mail by admins.

I registered correctly but I’m still a NEWBIE! How can I upgrade to RBR-Online Driver?
If you were Newbie - you can read your status in your post on the forum - maybe you had
do something wrong in the registration (blank field or natinality not setted), chek it out
to be patient in order to be upgraded from an admin to the Official Driver status.

OK, now I am a licensed driver correctly logged with an active and official status! What more
need I to join my first rally?
First of all “Richard Burns Rally PC Game”® correctly patched to 1.02 … it’s essential I guess
Download the following files:

carsInstall_WRC
TRACKS
TracksInstall_AUS
TracksInstall_ENG
TracksInstall_FIN
TracksInstall_FRA
TracksInstall_JAP
TracksInstall_USA
RallySchool2.exe

PATCH (just in case)
Patch 1.01 (link)
Patch 1.02 (link)

Perfect, now I have all the files! How can I install these things?
Before all we recommend to start up with a fresh and clean installation of the game.
This is the suggested order to install RBR, cars, tracks and so on:
1. Install RBR
2. Start the game and create a new driver profile named MULLIGATAWNY (all capital blocks) set your preferred options
(wheel, graphics, video…), confirm and exit.
3. Install Patch 1.01
4. Install Patch 1.02
5. Install every RBRO CARS (carsInstall_X…)
6. Install every RBRO TRACKS (TracksInstall_xxx…)
7. Install RallySchool2.exe
8. Install the RBR-OnLine 2.0 utility
Now you are ready to run!

You think I’m ready??!!
Yeah, only a last advice:
Start the utility and
Write down your selected username with the same format and content shown above.
SURNAME Name with a blank space between (no underscore or others)
Provide the selected login password in the right field
Rally password (numeric six digit) is required to join an online ACTIVE rally in the right timing scheduled and published on
the website. If you want to test offline is not required and must not be entered.
Select a car class (wrc, production, junior)
Select a car

Now you can test in offline mode every tracks and car you want, on every surface and meteo you like.



After a little practice you are ready to play online!!

After a correct registration, an activation, a tons of files download and a correct installation you will be awarded with the
status of RBR-Online Driver. Congratulation!

Play online now its very simple!
Go to the homepage and search for a scheduled rally, at the right time the numeric password will be displayed (generally
some 30 minutes before the HQ opening).



After the rally HQ opening you can join in starting the utility and providing Username, password, rally password and select
class and car.
Pay attention to the choice made, once in you cant exit and re-enter the same game.
Once in the rally the web page shows you
special stages
road bed type
meteo conditions
humidity
time to run
First of all you have to select the first or the next stage to run (left vertical column in yellow color), from that the counter
will display the time countdown to the start of the selected SS.
You can also navigate the menu , load the chat, see the online players and so on.
Never leave exiting, YOU WILL NO BE RE-ADMITTED!



After you race every SS and re-enter the RBRO utility YOU ARE ASKED TO SELECT THE FOLLOWING PLANNED STAGE!
This, like in the real life, means you have finished the SS before and completed the transport stages to the next SS.
The page show overall and groups classification and SS times scored.

Remember that if your automatic upload of the times wont work and your time don’t show up in the classification you have
the manual upload option (UTILITY/UPLOAD RESULT) to save your performance and continue the race.




And now…. Play online!

Fiz o download de todos os ficheiros (pistas, carros e programa) mas ao iniciar o RBRO ele diz-me que há um erro nas pistas que instalei. A minha questão é para que pasta é que instalo todos estes ficheiros, a pasta do Richard Burns ou uma pasta separada para o RBR Online?

Pois eu tb me aconteceu uma coisa estranha, instalei tudo correu tudo bem, mas so depois percebi que as pistas e os carros estavam instaldos no rbroriginal e não no rbronline.

Não percebi bem qual a logica, eu hoje vou formatar o pc e vou reinstalar muita coisa, inclusive o rbr-online se chegar a alguma conclusão informo aqui.

Volto a dizer tinha tinha uma pasta de nome rbr online com o rbr la dentro, indiquei sempre como local a instar o rbronline e ele instalou as tracks e os cars no rbroriginal, dei este nome porque era um virgem...

Não sei se o rbr-online tem atracção por virgens:23:

7) In some cases you could get the (Error found in the Richard Burns
Rally\Maps. Please reinstall the tracks) error. It is due to a lack of a
part of the folder names in the &quot;maps&quot; folder. The correct names
should be i.e. track-34_E_textures_RBRO_T (where the final letter
must be T=Tarmac, G=Gravel, S=Snow). If you get this error you
have to add the missing part of the folder names.

eu ja jogo disso ah uns meses e nunca tive problemas...o unico problema na minha instalaçao do RBR Online é q se tentar jogar com o MG jogo com o Fiesta...coisa q a mim n me afecta minimamente pq tou a fazer a classe PWRC! tal comoo o francisco disse o jogo ta mt bom...os rallys sao em hora marcada o q n me afecta a mim pq tenho tempo disponivel para isso, mas para kem tem pouco tempo disponivel torna.se mt mau...! é jogar para ver!

boas. pelo que me parece do readme, o plugin so usa a ligaçao a net na altura de fazer update aos resultados, ou nao e nesse caso mesmo quando estamos a correr ele esta constantemente a usar a ligacao a net? obrigado!
