Gostei bastante da corrida, vi de metade para o fim... piloto da corrida Trulli que conseguiu aguentar o Kubica e depois o Kova atrás dele, com uma manobra muito arriscada e a pisar a ténue linha do que ele pode fazer para segurar a posição mas na minha opinião ainda foi legal.

Entre o Alonso e o Piquet não sei qual eu desprezo mais pela sua mania, mas até gostei de ver o Piquet a acabar uma corrida e ainda mais a pontuar ... e ainda mais à frente do companheiro :P

Lewis Hamilton's run of sporting misfortunes continued yesterday when the boat he was crewing in the JP Morgan Round the Island Race was disqualified following a crash on the start line.

The impact of the collision caused the other boat to dismast and retire. Hugo Boss was left with a damaged bowsprit but continued racing to win the Open 60 class before the race committee disqualified her following a protest hearing.

"I was at the wheel and Lewis was standing right behind me and our reaction was the same. Oh ****. He comes on board and within five minutes we are involved in a pretty major crash but these things happen," said Thomson.
Battling with low visibility, a tide on the turn and a westerly breeze of around 15 knots, the Formula One racing driver was given the first upwind stint on the helm to the Needles while Thomson and two times Olympic gold medallist Ben Ainslie took charge downwind as Hugo Boss blasted round the back of the island at speeds of 30 knots.

In breezy conditions that were perfect for breaking records, Mike Slade's 100ft super maxi ICAP Leopard, which recently set new transatlantic and round Ireland records, was the first monohull to finish. He and his 25-strong crew posted a time of 3hr 53min 5sec, more than 12 minutes faster than the previous record set by Slade in 2001.

Leopard also suffered damage at the start when her bowsprit hooked the backstay of a Marten 49 but she still went on to set a record for a full circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight of 3hr 56min 3sec, subject to ratification.

The 2008 race attracted an entry of 1,762 boats including thoroughbreds such as the brand new Volvo 70 Kosatka, to be campaigned by a Russian crew in the Volvo Ocean Race later this year and six Extreme 40s, the high-speed catamarans that can fly a hull in as little as eight knots of breeze.

Rob Greenhalgh's Team Origin was the first boat to cross the finish line in 3hr 23min 50sec while rival Ellen MacArthur on BT, first to finish the 2007 race, had to retire after breaking a halyard just half a mile short of Hurst Narrows.

The winner of the Gold Roman Bowl, the overall winner in the IRC classes was Robert Swann's TP52 Ran followed by the quarter-tonner Catch and last year's Gold Roman Bowl winner the folkboat Madelaine.

Despite the rapid progress of the leading boats, around 950 competitors were still out on the course after 10 hours of racing with 101 retirements. Red Machine, a Jeanneau Jod 35, lost two people overboard at the Needles, though both were rescued and taken to Yarmouth.[/quote]

O Massa fez aquele tempo e 2 voltas depois espetou-se.:lol:Gostei do Hamilton e do Kovalainen. Ambos fizeram várias voltas seguidas com tempos parecidos com aqueles, além de que o Kovalainen saiu ligeiramente de pista na penúltima curva, na volta em que fez o seu melhor tempo.
