Hamilton cleared by hospital
Lewis Hamilton has been provisionally cleared to race in tomorrow's race at the Nurburgring after returning from hospital. Now all that can prevent the 22-year-old from racing is one last check to be carried out by the FIA tomorrow morning.
"There is at this moment in time absolutely no medical reason that he can't race," team boss Ron Dennis told reporters in the F1 paddock at Nurburgring.
The 22-year-old went to hospital for some scans and has been declared fit enough by hospital doctors. But the FIA gets the final say and the McLaren driver will be checked by its doctors on Sunday morning prior to the European Grand Prix.
Dennis added: "I would be surprised if he was not able to race."
