my race report
i did some practice before the event and i really didnt know how competitive i was going to be
Qualy
It was quite hard to find a clear gap with so many cars on track and i was about a second slower than my best lap but i was fairly happy starting a bit higher than my usual back of the grid slot.
race
Made a real careful start as i thought there would be problems at turn one, sure enough a couple of cars went off and i just stayed focus of getting the car around the first lap in one piece, i took it real easy for the first couple of laps and then a few more cars went off, i then found myself in the heady heights of 8th place a with Vitor about 7 seconds behind, he was closing on me about 2 seconds a lap and then after a few laps he was less than a second behind me, i tried to keep focused on the track infront of me but also at same time i didnt want to cut across him ,i ran wide at one of the corners and he went through so i just tried to keep close and only slowly did i fall back, i was happy with my pace but then disaster struck as i glanced the wall, i could see sparks in the rear view mirror but didnt at first realise i lost a wheel :sad:, i did a giles and got it going again but retired it in the pits, no way could i finish with 3 wheels.
All in all i was a bit happier with my pace, these races are hard though and i hope to get to that finishing line in the next race :bigsmile:
