Demasiado futurista. Ainda bem que não passa da ideia lunática de alguém.

Demasiado futurista? Não é por nada, mas eu não vejo ali nada de novo naquele carro. É perfeitamente possivel que possa ser aquele o carro.

AFCA in AtlasF1 Forum Wrote:Ferrari is working day and night to get the F2008 ready. Here's a preview.

The F2008 will be an evolution of the F2007.

Aerodynamics
The necessity to gain more downforce with the ban on traction control (and with more weight placed on the rear axle as a consquence) could influence the form of the nose and the dimensions of the front wing. The new car is to have a front wing that is slimmer and nicely shaped with the little wings on top of the mainplain having a greater surface as well as a more complex form (a la Toyota), being more integrated with the nose.

On the sidepods the boomerang devices will once again have a greater surface but will have a bigger hole in them as well. They'll (almost) be attached to the chimney's, that will stretch over a great part of the sidepods (a la McLaren) whereas the underpart of the winglets/flip ups will be made much longer also (as if it were a long shovel). This is all done in order to better canalise and calm down the airflow towards the rearwing. Nowadays the chimney's on F1 cars are almost solemnly there for aerodynamic purposes whereas the gills on top of the sidepods are the real devices that let the hot air escape. You can see they have a different lay-out with a number of them going diagonally.

Another way to gain more downforce at the rear, is having a bigger beamwing (in front of the rearwing) than usual. But furthermore, no big changes are expected at the rear of the car, it will keep having a tapering end.

Suspensions
The geometry of the frontsuspension will resemble to that of the F2007, eventhough recently (at Monza) Ferrari tried out new triangular shapes of the suspension. At the rear a lot of the attention goes to optimizing the third damper (which interacts with the rearsuspension constantly), introduced towards the end of this season, and which should once again bring a step forward as far as driving over the kerbs is concerned.

Weight distribution
The F2008 will still have a relatively long wheelbase, but probably some 5-6 cm will go off (some contradicting reports on this item, we'll see). Lot's of weight will be put on the rear-axle for reasons explained above.

Gearbox and engine
The gearbox will need to last for 4 races. This, and the introduction of the standard ECU meant that the technicians in Maranello had to redesign the seamless gearbox in some areas. The gear train will be strenghtened and also the gear case will have bigger dimensions, which slightly worsens the aerodynamic effeciency of the object. As far as the engine is concerned: there's not too much that can be done with the restrictions in place but like the gearbox some attention has been paid to the reliability, strengthening some parts as well as trying to get more torque in the middle of the torque curve.

A Ferrari já disse que o F2008 será uma evolução do F2007, por isso não esperem uma aberração como aquela nave espacial.

Essas imagens que o Berto colocou já são boas demais para não serem oficiais.
